Woodlands Remaking Our Home

Woodlands is set to become a "Star Destination of the North" under HDB's Remaking Our Heartlands (ROH) programme. There are 6 star attractions that will be established in Woodlands under the renewal plans!

Two major areas of Woodlands - Woodlands Central and Woodlands North Coast – will be expanded and integrated into a bustling Woodlands Regional Centre with new commercial and residential developments.

Woodlands will also benefit from developments in transport links. 3 new MRT stations will be introduced in Woodlands by 2019 to serve residents in the town. This will be joined to the future Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link. Additionally, the future North-South Corridor will make travelling from the north to the rest of Singapore seamless and convenient.

The Woodlands Waterfront – a popular recreational spot for residents – will also be transformed. A new rustic park, with trails and a nature promenade, will enable residents to enjoy abundant greenery even as they unwind by the waterfront.

Kampung Admiralty will bring together 2 blocks of housing for the elderly, a medical centre, eldercare and childcare centres, retail shops, a hawker centre and a Community Park all under one roof. Next to Kampung Admiralty, shopping mall Admiralty Place will soon undergo upgrading works to complement the upcoming Kampung Admiralty.

For residents longing for a retreat into nature, the nearby Woodlands Admiral Garden will be upgraded with improvements to existing facilities and landscaping. Additionally, there will be an enhanced pedestrian mall which links directly to Admiralty MRT, offering a lush and restful environment for residents to rest and interact.
