Remembering Mr Lee Kuan Yew

"Whoever governs Singapore must have that iron in him, or give it up! This is not a game of cards! This is your life and mine! I spent a whole life-time building this, and as long as I am in charge, nobody is going to knock it down." (MM Lee Kuan Yew, 1980)

Today, we remember the man with an iron-clad will, unshakeable faith, but most of all, a fervent dream that brought Singapore into its position of success and prosperity today.

Rest in peace, MM Lee. Thank you for everything that you have done and sacrificed for our nation.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Lee family at this time. MM Lee is pictured below at the opening of the now defunct Hock Choon Community Centre in 1962 (now Fuchun CC). Hock Choon CC was the first rural community centre to be opened in a massive drive to build rural community centres, spearheaded by the PA. Indeed, MM Lee was a person who understood and appreciated the need for #kampungspirit. Today his legacy and that spirit continues to live on in our community today.
